These Terms of Service govern your use of Filmorex - this website, its articles, its free browser tools and any information about products published here. By using the site you agree to everything written below. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Articles and tools are free to read and use. No paywall, no account requirement for readers.
Share with credit
Quote and link our articles freely with attribution. Full reposts of articles are not allowed.
Provided as-is
Tools and content come without warranties. Always verify important results before relying on them.
Use it fairly
Do not abuse, attack or repurpose the site or its tools for unlawful or harmful activity.
- The site and its tools are free and provided "as is", without guarantees.
- You may quote and link our work with credit; do not republish full articles.
- Do not attack, scrape abusively, overload or misuse the site or tools.
- You stay responsible for what you process with the tools and for how you use the articles.
- These terms may be updated - check the date at the top of this page.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using Filmorex you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. If you are using the site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organisation.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should stop using the site.
2. What the service is
Filmorex is an independent publication and product lab. It provides:
- Articles - long-form engineering notes, AI workflows and indie product writing, free to read.
- Free browser tools - small utilities that run on your own device (see section 6).
- Product information - pages describing example products and projects.
- Contact channels - a form you can use to reach us.
The site is offered as an informational and productivity resource. We may add, change or remove any part of the service at any time.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You do not need an account to read articles or use the tools. The only account on the site is the administrator account used to manage content, and it is not offered to the public.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, if higher) to use the site. If you are below that age, you may only use the site with the supervision and consent of a parent or guardian.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the site lawfully and respectfully. In particular, you must not:
- Attack, probe or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers, database or admin panel.
- Use denial-of-service techniques, or make automated requests at a volume that degrades the site for others.
- Scrape or harvest content at scale for republishing, dataset building or SEO farms, beyond ordinary personal use.
- Upload or process material through the tools that you have no right to handle (for example other people private data or illegal content).
- Use the site to distribute malware, spam, phishing content or anything fraudulent.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when you contact us.
- Remove, alter or obscure copyright, attribution or policy notices on the site.
We may restrict or block access if we reasonably believe these rules are being broken - for example during an attack or abusive scraping wave.
5. Content you send us
Anything you submit through the contact form remains yours. You keep all rights to it. You grant us only the limited permission needed to receive, store and reply to your message, as described in the Privacy Policy.
You confirm that you have the right to send us whatever you submit, and that it does not infringe anyone else rights or break any law. We will not publish your contact messages publicly.
6. The free tools
The tools in the tools section are provided free of charge, on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Unless a tool page states otherwise:
- Processing happens locally in your browser - see section 7 of our Privacy Policy for what that means for your data.
- Results are offered for convenience and may be incorrect or incomplete - you must check anything important before you rely on it (especially formatting, generated codes and image edits).
- Do not use the tools for unlawful purposes, to evade the law, or to process material you are not authorised to handle.
- We may modify, replace or retire any tool at any time without notice.
Examples of the tools include JSON formatting, case conversion, QR code generation, email drafting help, social card previews and background removal.
7. Copyright and ownership
Unless a page states otherwise, the original articles, illustrations, page designs, branding and code on this site are our work and are protected by copyright.
What you may do freely:
- Read, bookmark and print pages for personal use.
- Share links to our articles anywhere.
- Quote short excerpts with clear attribution and a link back to the original article.
- Use our free tools for personal and commercial work you produce yourself.
What requires permission: republishing full articles elsewhere (on blogs, newsletters, aggregators, course material or books), removing attribution, presenting our work as your own, or copying substantial parts of the design or code. Write to us through the contact form if you want to syndicate or reuse content at scale - genuine requests are usually welcome.
Product names, logos and third-party trademarks mentioned on the site belong to their respective owners.
8. External links and third-party products
The site contains links to other websites and to example products hosted on external domains. These are provided for convenience and reference.
We do not control and are not responsible for the content, availability, pricing, security or privacy practices of any third-party site or product. Your dealings with third parties are solely between you and them, and their own terms and policies apply. Always do your own due diligence before buying, downloading or sharing data with an external service.
9. No professional advice
Our articles are written for education and general information. Nothing on the site is professional advice - not legal, financial, medical, security or otherwise. Examples and code snippets are illustrative and may be outdated or unsuitable for your situation. Consult a qualified professional before making decisions with real consequences, and test code in your own environment before using it in production.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the site, its articles and its tools are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or available at all times, or that results produced by the tools will be accurate or reliable.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, goodwill or business opportunity, arising from your access to or use of (or inability to use) the site or its tools.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these terms or the site will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars - recognising that the public site is free to use.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you; in that case the limitation applies to the maximum extent the law allows.
12. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the site or its tools, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
13. Availability and termination
We aim to keep the site running, but we do not guarantee any uptime. We may suspend, limit or discontinue any part of the site (including specific tools or articles) temporarily or permanently, with or without notice.
We may refuse or remove access to anyone who breaches these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including copyright, disclaimers, liability and indemnity) will survive it.
You may stop using the site at any time - there is no account to cancel.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with the "Last updated" date shown at the top. Material changes will be called out on this page. Continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms; if you do not accept them, stop using the site.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any formal dispute, please contact us through the contact form - almost every issue can be resolved directly and amicably.
16. How to reach us
Questions about these terms, permission requests for reuse, or anything else - use the contact form and mention "Terms" in your message. We read and reply to every genuine enquiry.
